Ajay Kumar Indian comedy star the world's smallest actor

At 2 feet 6 inches, Ajay Kumar, an Indian comedy star, has been officially recognised as the world's smallest actor.

Hailing from Kerala, Kumar, better known by his stage name Unda Pakru, has made it into the Guinness Book of World Records after starring in 50 films over 13 years.

In 2005, when he married Gayatri, 5ft 1in-who is more than twice her husband's height.Better known by his stage name Unda Pakru, the tiny star has become a household name in his native Kerala.

The world's smallest comedy hero Ajaya Kumar, popularly known as Undapakru or Guinness Pakru, will share screen space with Kollywood superstar Suriya in his forthcoming film 7 AM Arivu to be produced by Red Giant Films. Starring Shruti Haasan as the heroine, the film is directed by A.R. Murugadoss.

Some media reports suggest that 7 AM Arivu is loosely based on the English flick Inception, directed by ace filmmaker Christopher Nolan of The Dark Knight fame. However, A.R. Murugadoss was quoted by a newspaper as saying: "This is such a foolish claim. How can I get inspired by a film that has not even released internationally? Where do I get a DVD of it?"

The film, produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin, marks the comeback of the superhit Ghajini combination of Suriya and Murugadoss. Music is by Harris Jayaraj.
