The Dragon of Nezha thrilled shoppers @ 1 Utama, PJ

A dazzling traditional dragon dance of the Taepadumtung Dragon Dance troupe from Thailand.

Performing for the first time in the Klang Valley region and possibly in Malaysia, the Dragon of Nezha held the large crowd of shoppers spellbound at 1 Utama shopping centre with its spectacular and thrilling performance atop a 12-metre high pole swaying dangerously with special pyrotechnic effects

The dragon dance is an important ritual of Chinese culture. It symbolizes good luck and prosperity for the year to come.

The performance was held in conjunction with Chinese New Year 2010 at the outdoor Central Park Avenue of 1 Utama shopping centre in Petaling Jaya for 4 days from 4th - 7th February 2010.
