KL Rat Race 2010: Fun running for a worthy cause

Rat racers comprising top executives and office workers took time out from work on Tuesday 3rd August 2010 to run for charity at the 11th edition of the Kuala Lumpur Rat Race 2010.

Running for charity is indeed a worthy cause. The Edge and Bursa Malaysia are the co-organisers for this unique event.

Donations collected from participating local and foreign companies in Malaysia will be channelled towards 20 beneficiaries involved in various causes.

There were two types of races - CEO race (1km) and the main race (4.5km) that took runners to the heart of Kuala Lumpur’s busiest commercial area.

The main race started during the after-office hour jam at 5.10 pm from Persiaran Maybank in front of Bursa Malaysia and passed through Jalan Raja Chulan, Jalan Sultan Ismail, Jalan Ampang and Jalan P. Ramlee before turning back to Jalan Raja Chulan and end at the finish line at Persiaran Maybank.

The race atmosphere was great. Mai Tomyam was there at Jalan Raja Chulan to take pictures and soak in the atmosphere
