NZX Vogue Supermodel Search 2011 @ Ara Damansara, Preview 1

The first preview of the NZX Vogue Supermodel Search 2011 was held at NZX commercial centre or popularly known as NiuZeHui (牛车水) or Cow Car Water at Ara Damansara in Petaling Jaya on Saturday 1st January 2011.

The NZX Vogue Supermodel Search 2011 was a much-anticipated event.

Close to 300 people showed up to cheer for their favourite models as they graced the catwalk in the casual wear, lingerie wear (skiva) and evening wear categories garnering enthusiastic approval from the audience.

In this first preview, two subsidiaries titles were won.

Miss Body Beautiful – Contestant No. 2 Miss April Yap
Miss Most Popularity – Contestant No. 11 Miss Renee Hong

The second preview will be held on 8th January at @HEX Sensory Room, PJ Trade Centre and the Grand Final on 21st January at Crossroads, Concorde Hotel, KL.

It was Mai Tomyam first visit to NZX commercial centre which was opened in early 2008. Then it was widely touted as Malaysia’s largest outdoor boulevard providing a cozy outdoor shopping experience, lively entertainment and venues for fine dining.

It’s a pity that today, three years later, most of the shops are now emptied.

The covered boulevard gets stuffy and hot really fast. It is designed to allow for the air to freely come in and out with the outside wind and air pressure, allowing for heat to escape quickly as well keeping shoppers cooler but somehow its not working the way it should be.
