New year’s eve countdown party at SEA Park, PJ

The Section 21 SEA Park Rukun Tetangga (RT) hosted a new year eve countdown to 2011 celebration at its RT centre in Jalan 21/19.

Over 200 multi-racial residents joined in the year’s end celebration with a special supper of delicious juicy chicken satay, hot curry chicken, spicy meehoon (vermicelli), sweet tasty cake, free flow of drinks and an exciting firework display.

Section 21 SEA Park Rukun Tetangga (RT) chairman Gan Keng said he was very happy with the big turnout of people of all races, young and old, who joined in the celebration to usher in the new year 2011 in the spirit of 1Malaysia.

Joining in the countdown celebration were Petaling Jaya Utara (PJU) Federal Development coordinator Dato' Dr. Wong Sai Hou, Kiwanis Malaysia Lt Governor Div 3 Ho Wah Ying and Yoke Wong Thai Tay Temple SEA Park senior medium Ronnie Chiew.

The event attracted a multi-racial crowd out to enjoy the food and fun in ushering the new year.

Extra chairs were provided to those who could not find a seat at the tables.


With 10 seconds remaining, Dato' Dr. Wong Sai Hou (centre, in red shirt) led the counting down to midnight.

At the stroke of midnight, fireworks were lighted on the grounds at SEA Park RT centre.


The sky over SEA Park lit up with fireworks display in a multitude of colours.
