Comic Fiesta 2010 madness!

Yes you heard it right. It was madness!

An overfull house and a completely jam packed ballroom made this the worst Comic Fiesta ever held!

It was so jam packed inside the ballroom that one could hardly move. There were so many booths big and small, 148 of them all cramping into the 1,746 square metres room. Even the exit door was not spared with booths stretching right up close to it. Add this to the thousands of visitors who were inside and you have hardly any space left to move. The ballroom was just too small to accommodate all this. And visitors were expected to sit on the floor when watching performances on the main stage.

There is a possiblility of mass casualties arising from a stampede if there is an emergency. This is no joke.

Believe it or not, only one counter was open for 1-day entry ticket and with extra long line of people standing in the queue.

Going up to the venue at the 14th floor or coming down can be very time-consuming. All the six lifts stopped at almost every floor. With the expected visitors numbering thousands, why didn’t the organizer request for a dedicated lift or two just to take visitors straight up and down with no stops in between floors?

Clearly it was a wrong choice of venue. The place was not right for a Comic Fiesta event which attracted about 8,000 visitors in 2009 at Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre.
