Close to 1,000 people attended the Chinese New Year open house organized by MCA Petaling Jaya Utara (PJU) division held on Saturday 6th March 2010 at the basketball court in Jalan SS3/14 Petaling Jaya.
MCA PJU division chairman Yeo Ing King, deputy chairman Dato' Lim Choon Kin, secretary Dato’ Dr. Wong Sai Hou, who is also federal development officer and other leaders were present to play host to the well-wishers.
It was a joyous affair as the multi-racial crowd from all walks of life intermingled and enjoyed the wide variety of sumptuous food and entertaining lion dance and line dance performances.
Special guest Datuk Seri Chua Soi Lek arrived at the function to a warm reception. He was greeted by five lion dance troupes as well as a tiger mascot representing the Year of the Tiger.
Also present at the function held between 11am and 2pm. were Petaling Jaya Selatan (PJS) division chairman Dato’ Donald Lim Siang Chai, Barisan Nasional component leaders and community leaders.

Guests did the ceremonial "yee sang" tossing with the chopsticks. The tossing of yee sang is to attract good luck for all those present.

A lion dance troupe came over to greet Datuk Seri Chua Soi Lek while he was enjoying a sit-down sumptuous meal.
After the meal, Datuk Seri Chua Soi Lek gave an impromptu press conference flanked by Dato' Dr. Wong Sai Hou (on Datuk Seri Chua's right) and Yeo Ing King (on Datuk Seri Chua's left).
When this reporter (1st from left, in blue t-shirt) from Bernama asked whether Datuk Seri Chua will be contesting in the coming MCA party polls, he pointed towards the sky with a smile Only God knows the answer.
