Hari Raya Aidilfitri cheer for Sri Aman flats dwellers

The residents of the Sri Aman low-cost flats near Taman Paramount LRT station in Petaling Jaya had a great time at the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration held outside the flats area on Sunday October 4, 2009. Everyone was in a festive mood.

The event was jointly organized by the Section 21 SEA Park Residents Association (RA) and Persatuan Penyokong Penyokong Perayaan Poh Toh SEA Park to foster good neighbourliness among the residents of SEA Park and neighbouring Sri Aman low-cost flats.

It is also to help forged stronger community ties among the residents of SEA Park and Sri Aman flats and bring the various races staying at the two areas closer and hopefully reduce any feeling of prejudice.

The chairman of SEA Park RA Gan Keng, who is also chairman of Poh Toh SEA Park, had earlier led committee members to the Sri Aman flats and personally distributed flyers to each of the 340 flat units to remind the residents to attend the event.

Big crowds swarmed the two temporary booths manned by committee members of SEA Park RA and Poh Toh SEA Park to serve nasi lemak, fried meehoon noodles and teh tarik drinks for the residents to enjoy a nice breakfast meal.

Later, chairman Gan Keng and assisted by deputy chairman Lee Soon Fah presented foodstuffs to the residents from a lorry at a nearby parking lot.
