The state assemblyman (ADUN) for Kampung Tunku constituency YB Lau Weng San has opened a new service centre in Section 21, SEA Park to better meet the needs of the residents in SEA Park, Paramount Garden, Sri Aman low-cost flats and the immediate vicinity.
With much fanfare, the Kampung Tunku state assemblyman (ADUN) service centre and Democratic Action Party (DAP) Taman Paramount branch was officially opened by Selangor State exco for local government, study and research committee YB Ronnie Liu Tian Khiew on Sunday 18th October 2009.
The service centre and branch shared the new office which is located upstairs of a two-storey link shop house at No. 16A, Jalan 21/12, SEA Park, Petaling Jaya. Both were previously located at No. 77 Jalan 20/9 in Taman Paramount.
The performances of a lion dance troupe and children from Siddhartan Home created a joyous mood for the important and significant occasion which was attended by more than 200 people. There were not enough chairs to accommodate the unexpected large turnout and many had to stand.
There was some refreshment and lots of excitement as everyone celebrated the happy occasion. The SEA Park community is very proud to have the service centre located in their vicinity.
Among those present at the opening ceremony were Petaling Jaya Utara MP YB Tony Pua, Damansara Utama state assemblyman YB Dr Cheah Wing Yin, Petaling Jaya Utara Parti Islam Semalaysia (PAS) Youth wing chairman Azri Mohamad Arish and Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya (MBPJ) councillor Ramakrishnan a/l Suppiah (service area covering SEA Park) and councillor Tiew Way Keng.
Also present to give support were SEA Park Residents Association chairman Gan Keng, SEA Park Apartments Management Corporation (MC) chairman Gary Choong Choon Vooi, CIMB Bank SEA Park branch manager Ong Kooi Hooi and Kiwanis Malaysia Lt Governor Div 3 Ho Wah Ying who is a long time resident of SEA Park.
